Camp Healing Waters

Camp Healing Waters is a multi-day camp for physical and emotional healing needs of our wounded heroes and their spouses. The inaugural Camp Healing Waters was held on May 19th-22nd, 2016 in Western North Carolina.

Since 2005, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing has grown into an international non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active duty military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.  In 2015 Project Healing Waters logged over 150,000 volunteer hours donated by over 2800 volunteers, operated over 200 programs in 50 states, and served over 7000 injured and disabled military service personnel and disabled veterans.

In the summer of 2015 volunteers from the PHWFF Mid-South Region, Trout Unlimited Veterans Service Partnership, Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Chetola Resort, and the Fly Fishing Club at Appalachian State University, a TU Five Rivers Program, began preparations for a special destination camp.  A multi-day experience, designed around the PHWFF mission.
