Fly Fishing Film Tour

Each year fishy folk of all ages gather at premieres to soak up films from around the world, spin a few yarns amongst friends and dream about casts still unmade.

2016 marked the Fly Fishing Film Tour‘s 10th lap around North America.  From Bolivia to the Seychelles, British Columbia and Patagonia, from Saskatchewan to Zambia and Virginia to Montana, the notable characters, unique storylines and unparalleled fishing in these films showcased an adventure around the globe!

Along with bringing the film tour to Boone, the ASU Fly Fishing Club hopes to build a stronger and more connected and informed fishing and conservation-minded community in the High Country. To support this ideal we invite over one dozen local fly guide services, instructors, and shops, as well as non-profit conservation groups (Trout Unlimited, Project Healing Waters, New River Conservancy, Watauga Riverkeeper, Appalachian Voices, Middle Fork Greenway Assn, Blue Ridge Conservancy, etc) to attend the event and represent their organization.

The proceeds from ticket sales benefit the ASU Fly Fishing Club events and conservation projects, as well as create Camp Healing Waters, a local week-long event in conjunction with Trout Unlimited, Project Healing Waters, and Appalachian Mountain Brewery.
